Mama Poodle

Circa 2007
Pretty Recent
First, there was me. Well, 4th, there was me. I am the youngest of four children, my mother passed when I was young and my father and I don't speak. I have two sisters and a brother; One sister in CA I don't speak to and one in my living room I wish I didn't speak to (kidding, love you, sister!). I am currently unemployed but am attending the local community college for a degree in childhood education, birth to 6th grade. I sometimes write articles for Text Broker and blog entries here. I have dreams and aspirations that sometimes appear out of reach and sometimes appear much too easy to keep procrastinating. In 2009 I gave birth to a freaking cute little boy which leads me to...

Baby Ick
So big!

Words cannot describe.
Wow... Just, wow...
While I was pregnant I asked my friend's son (who was about 3 at the time) if he knew what I was going to name the baby. His answer was, "Baby Ick!" Apparently Little Bear found a baby raccoon and named him Baby Ick because "ick" was all it could say. Wow, the minds of children! When Ick was born, and for the first, oh, 15 or 16 months, he was the cutest, sweetest, happiest baby ever! Then he hit the Terrible Twos! *Yipe!* He will be 3 years old at the end of August 2012 and is extremely smart and full of the craziest words and saying new ones all the time. He can count to 20 (usually just fifteen or sixteen, though), name lots of colors, and talk about how funny or adorable he is. He's not much for snuggling, but I soak up all I can when I wake him up and he just wants to lay in my lap. He loves to give kisses especially to his NaNa (nah-nah, not like a grandmother) aka my sister Angelique and her dachshund, George. Which in turn leads me to...

NaNa, Uncle David and George

My sister, her dog and her husband are staying with me temporarily which is tense and stressful at times but mostly it's wonderful! We are 9 years apart in age but have so much in common that we can easily sit and talk for hours. Angelique has her own digital imaging company called Angelic Artwork and even has items for sale at Zazzle. She dabbles in an MMORPG guide program, product testing for a major graphics company and has recently become a 3D vender. She is very talented and struggling to break into the world of "getting her images on things to sell in real stores like Target." My brother-in-law, David is a union insulator and works very hard... At leveling his EQ2 toons. Hah! I jest! ...Mostly. He does work very hard when there is word to do, but alas, with less money to go around there are fewer companies willing to hire the workers. George is.. Well, he's a dachshund who thinks he is a person. He's named for country super-star George Strait and is a spoiled rotten dog!

This is my little family. I hope to have more to add in the future. But so far it's just us chickens at Chez Poodle!
